Guide to Fake Eyelashes (Requested by Huishan)

Hihi, here is my guide to fake eyelashes. Methods listed here are tested and works for me. Hopefully it'll work for you too!

How to stick on fake eyelash

1. Apply eyelash glue even on the band of the eyelash. Note, you must apply it on the underside of the eyelash. See Pic.1

2. Wait about 30 seconds or so for glue to become sticky. Then with your eye closed, apply the fake eyelash to the base of your eyelash as close to the eyelid as possible (from corner out*). See Pic.2

*Some people may prefer to start for center out. Find the method which suits you best.
*Pardon my miserably miserable drawings... I doubt it helps in anyway =(

What glue to use
My personal preference would be DUO Eyelash Adhesive Dark selling for about S$15.

Eyelash Care
To remove all that icky gooey residue that stays on the lash band stubbornly, follow these simple steps:

1. Dilute your eye makeup remover(preferbly an oil-based one) with water in a ratio of 1:3
2. Soak your eyelashes for about an hour
3. You can now rub off the residue easily with your fingers or blot it off with a pc of tissue

The above steps are for stubborn residue only, as such don't do this too often though, as it will cause ur lashes(fake) to fall off its band. I will 'clean' my lashes about once a fortnight. Loose residue can be easily removed by peeling it with your fingernails.

Eye Care
We need to be extra careful when we apply the eyelash. Make sure the glue does not enter your eyes. When removing the eyelash, soak a cotton pad in eye makeup remover and place it over your eye for at least 20 sec to loosen the bond between your fake and your real lashes. (This does help to loosen the residue on the fake lashes as well) Wipe off any remaining glue from your eyelids/lash

Lastly and most importantly, always have an extra pair of fake eyelash handy just in case your current one decides to fall apart for no reason (and that can happen!). Oh, and keep your glue with you where ever you go!
